Course Overview
This intensive course prepares students to sit their AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate exam in just 5 days. You’ll learn how to build scalable and resilient infrastructure in the cloud as well as what to expect from the exam.
The first 3 days covers content from the Architecting on AWS Course. Students will learn the fundamentals of building IT infrastructure so they can build scalable and resilient solutions in the AWS Cloud.
In the last 2 days students will be guided through the exam. This includes strategies to answer exam questions and how to avoid common mistakes.
Course Objectives
This course teaches you how to:
- Make architectural decisions based on AWS architectural principles and best practices
- Leverage AWS services to make your infrastructure scalable, reliable, and highly available
- Leverage AWS Managed Services to enable greater flexibility and resiliency in an infrastructure
- Make an AWS-based infrastructure more efficient to increase performance and reduce costs
- Use the Well-Architected Framework to improve architectures with AWS solutions
- Navigate the logistics of the examination process, exam structure, and question types
- Identify how questions relate to AWS architectural concepts
- Interpret the concepts being tested by an exam question

Prerequisites
We recommend students undertaking this course have:
- At least 6 to 12 months of hands-on experience designing with AWS services
- Hands-on experience using compute, networking, storage, and database AWS services
- An understanding of the basic architectural principles of building on the AWS cloud
- An understanding of the AWS global infrastructure
