CITREP funded AWS Cloud training Frequently Asked Questions

CITREP funding support provides up to 70-90% rebate* for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents on eligible training. It’s designed to assist both entry-level and mid-career professionals by helping them acquire or enhance their technical skills.

You can’t apply for CITREP directly. You need to register via an authorised training provider like Bespoke Training.

We are pleased to announce that Bespoke Training has renewed endorsements for CITREP funded AWS Cloud training. The previous endorsements expired on 31st March 2019.

According to an article on NZ Reseller News, New Zealand IT spending will grow 2.6 percent in 2019, to reach $13.5 billion.

The article references Gartner’s quarterly forecast, noting spending on communication services equate to approx. 36% ($4.9 billion), followed by IT services at approx. 33% ($4.5 billion).

Spending on software (10%), and data centres (3.2%) is also expected to increase in 2019.

Gartner IT Spending & Growth for 2019

Spending on Cloud services and applications, and enterprise software is expected to grow faster than any other IT category in 2019 according to a report from market research and consultancy firm Gartner, and an article in U.S. CIO magazine.

The basic driver for the increased spending is suggested to be digital transformation.

AWS is Protected Certified

In an article published on AWS’s blog on 23rd January 2019, Mathew Graham advised AWS were approved to hold PROTECTED Australian Government data. Graham, Head of Security Assurance for Australia and New Zealand at AWS, said

“The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has awarded PROTECTED certification to AWS for 42 of our cloud services. This is the highest data security certification available in Australia for cloud service providers, and AWS offers the most PROTECTED services of any public cloud service provider.”
